António Brochado Correia is the Territory Senior Partner at PwC Portugal – a firm with over 70 partners and with around 3.000 permanent employees across offices in Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Funchal, Luanda, Praia, and Maputo.

With over 30 years of experience, António Brochado Correia has been an Audit Partner since 2003 and a Statutory Auditor since 1999. At PwC, he has also served as a Global Relationship Partner since 2006, supporting some of the largest national business groups. He is also a board member in several Portuguese entities with business, social, and cultural missions.

Profissional background

António Brochado Correia was a lecturer in the undergraduate Management program until 2003 and has continued to collaborate with the university in various programs. He is a member of the Superior Council of the Portuguese Catholic University and has served on the advisory boards of the School of Economics and Management at the University of Minho, the University of Beira Interior, and the Council of Managers at the University of Porto.

He was Chair of the Technical Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility at the Portuguese Institute of Statutory Auditors from 2007 to 2011, and the Portuguese representative at the Fédération des Experts Européens in Brussels for sustainability and corporate responsibility topics from 2008 to 2011. Between 2003 and 2006, he coordinated the implementation of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (2002). From 2005 to 2012, he was responsible for Management Consulting, leading PwC Portugal’s Consulting department from 2011 to 2013. Over 30 years, he has held various roles within the firm, including Deputy Senior Partner, Leader of Consumer and Industrial Products and Services, and Leader of Clients & Markets, among others.
