Fernando Costal Carinhas is a Legal Director at PwC Portugal and head of the Real Estate practice area. He develops his activity with focus on real estate transactions and development projects.
He has specialized in providing legal advice on real estate law matters to institutional real estate investors and developers, private clients and family offices, both domestic and, above all, international, including religious legal entities.
He has extensive experience in providing legal advice on the various models and stages of real estate investment.
He has advised on and coordinated the negotiation of various real estate acquisition and sale transactions (single assets and real estate portfolios), urban rehabilitation projects, turnkey contracts, divestment projects, mortgage loan portfolio transactions (“NPLs”) and OREO, the transfer of relevant sets of real estate assets, sale and leaseback transactions, construction and marketing of logistics parks, office buildings, shopping centers and retail parks, wind and solar farms, office parks, etc.
Before joining PwC Legal, between 2014 and 2023, he was Managing Associate at PLMJ and between 2023 and 2025 he was Senior Associate at Cuatrecasas.
