Luís Filipe Maciel began his career at PwC Portugal in 2010, joining the Tax Consulting practice, where he developed his expertise in indirect tax. He is currently a Partner in the Indirect Tax practice, advising domestic and multinational companies on managing their tax challenges and developing solutions that balance tax efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business objectives.
With over 15 years of experience at PwC dedicated to the Tax Advisory practice, he has developed in-depth knowledge of indirect taxation, advising domestic and multinational companies on managing their tax obligations and optimizing their operational and tax models.
Throughout his career, he has supported organizations across various industries, with a particular focus on the Construction & Real Estate, Hospital & Healthcare, and Consumer Business sectors, providing advice on VAT and other indirect taxes, tax risk management, process review and optimization, as well as compliance with their respective tax obligations.
His experience also includes designing and implementing tax-efficient structures, overseeing complex domestic and international transactions, and providing ongoing support to clients in identifying opportunities to create sustainable value through tax planning.
With a strong commitment to developing expertise in the tax field, Luís Filipe Maciel has led various training programs through PwC’s Academy, PwC’s training center. Throughout his career as a trainer, he has helped professionals and organizations deepen their knowledge of indirect taxation.
