PwC Portugal obtained ISO 22301:2019 certification

PwC Portugal obtained the globally recognized ISO 22301:2019 certification for all of its service lines operating in Portugal, following an extensive audit of the company's business continuity practices.

What is ISO 22301:2019?

ISO 22301:2019 is the international standard for Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) which, published by the International Organization for Standardization, aims to certify organizations with regard to prevention, preparedness, response and recovery of unexpected incidents.

ISO 22301:2019 is a rigorous, independent, third-party assessment that provides an approved standard for organizations to assess their level of efficiency, capabilities and business continuity duties, even in times of crisis.

PwC Portugal certification

The ISO 22301:2019 certification was granted by AENOR, which certifies that PwC Portugal has established and applies a business continuity management system that meets the rigorous requirements of the International Organization for Standardization ('ISO') for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of its Management System for Business Continuity (BCMS) and the company can effectively maintain and recover its activities from unexpected situations or situations that cause disruptions in operations or disruptive events.

This certification reaffirms PwC Portugal's ability to serve its clients and partners in the financial sector, including global banks, stock exchanges and asset managers, as well as companies and SMEs from all sectors.
